THE SCRIPTURES INSPIRED

The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God revealed to humanity. It was spoken and recorded by holy men of old as the Holy Spirit moved them, and it is profitable for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16)

JESUS: THE ONE TRUE GOD

There is only one God and creator of all. He is omniscient, omnipotent, & omnipresent; we believe that God revealed Himself in the Old Testament as Jehovah and in the New Testament revealed himself in His Son, Jesus Christ. Thus, Jesus Christ was and is God. In other words, Jesus is the one true God manifested (made clearly visible) in flesh, and in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (John 1:1-14; I Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9).

God has chosen to reveal Himself as the Father through His work of creation and through His paternal relationship to redeemed humanity, as the Son through the means of redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in our regeneration and through His continual impartation and dealings with man. ( Mark 12:29; Matt.28:19; Rom.1:20).

THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the literal resurrection of Jesus Christ, which took place on the third day after His death as recorded in the Gospels (Matthew 27:60-64; Mark 16:1-20; Luke 24:1-12, 36-44; John 20:12-20). This resurrection had been foretold by the prophets (Isaiah 53:12), and is necessary for our hope and justification (1 Corinthians 15:20; Romans 4:25).

MAN: HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION

Man was created by God from the dust of the earth, without sin or knowledge of good and evil. The first man, Adam, transgressed the command of God, and as God had warned, the process of death entered him and all of his descendants because of that transgression. Therefore, all have sinned and are worthy of the sentence of death. Because of our unrighteousness, we are unable to approach a holy God, except through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus. Through Jesus, we not only can come before the Throne of Grace, but we may approach it boldly since our confidence is not in ourselves, but in the Lord Jesus.(Gen. 1:26-31; Gen. 3:17; Rom.5:12-21)

THE SALVATION OF MAN

Conditions of Salvation:

God created mankind to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully living life their own way. To rectify this, we need God's saving grace to end our separation from Him. As the Bible teaches, we believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. Faith in Jesus is the means by which a person is justified. The only grounds upon which God will accept a sinner is repentance from the heart for the sins he has committed. A sinner must believe the gospel; he is commanded to repent of his sinful life, to be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ, and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues (Acts 2:38; 4:12; 8:12-17; 10:43-48; 19:1-6, Matthew 28:18-19). Thus the various aspects of faith and obedience work together in God's grace to reconcile us to God.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as promised by God in the Old Testament and as poured out after the glorification of our Lord Jesus Christ, who sends it (Joel 2:28-29; John 7:37-39, 14:16-26; Acts 2:14, 16-18). Furthermore, we believe that a person demonstrates that they have been baptized with the Holy through the evidence of speaking in new tongues or languages previously unknown.

The Holy Spirit enables us to testify about Christ (Acts 1: 8) and helps us develop a Christian character (Galatians 5:22-25). The same Spirit endows men with gifts for the edification of the Church (Romans 12:68; I Corinthians 12:1-12; Ephesians 4:7-13). All members of the Church must seek the Holy Spirit and strive to live constantly in the Spirit, as recommended in Romans 8:5-16, Ephesians 5:18, and Colossians 3:5.

BAPTISM IN WATER BY IMMERSION

We believe in baptism in water, by immersion in the Name of Jesus Christ and that it should be administered by an ordained minister or a commissioned minister. Baptism should be by immersion because only in this way can it represent the death of man unto sin, thus bearing similarity to the death of Christ (Romans 6:15). Baptism should be in the name of Jesus Christ because this was the practice of the Apostles and ministers who baptized during the early period of the Church, as recorded in the Holy Scriptures (Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:6, 22:16).

THE LORD’S SUPPER (COMMUNION)

The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements, unleavened bread and fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing in a memorial to His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming, and is enjoined to all believers “until He comes” (John 6:48,51,53-57; Luke 22:19,20; 2 Pet. 1:4; 1 Cor. 11:25).

SANCTIFICATION PROCESS

By the power of the Holy Spirit we strive to obey the command, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” Sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word (Heb. 12:14; 1 Pet. 1:15,16; 1 Thess. 5:23,24; 1 John 2:6).

THE CHURCH

The church is the holy Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer who has accepted our Lord Jesus Christ, Baptized by water immersion in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Spirit, is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (I Thess. 2:4; 1 Cor 10:13)

MINISTRY

Divinely called and Scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for a two-fold purpose: (1) The evangelization of the world, and (2) The edification of the Body of Christ (Mark 15:16,20; Eph. 4:11-13). The ministry is a calling of God and the Holy Spirit confers upon each minister the faculty of serving the church in distinct capacities and with distinct gifts, the manifestations of which are all for the edification of the Body of Christ (Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:5-11; Ephesians 4:11-12).

We believe that the calling to the ministry is of divine origin and the Word of God contains sufficient teaching regarding the requirements that must be met by the person who is to serve in the ministry. Therefore, duly organized ecclesiastical governments are responsible for examining candidates for the ministry to determine whether these candidates should be approved and what tasks they shall be assigned (Acts 1:23-26, 6:13; 1 Timothy 3:1-10, 4:14, 5:22; Titus 1:5-9).

DIVINE HEALING

God has the power to heal all our physical illnesses, if that is His will, and that divine healing is a result of the sacrifice of Christ, for He has borne our grief and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). The healing of the body takes place through the faith of the believer and power in the Name of Jesus Christ,. The Lord Jesus Christ promised that those who believed in His Name would lay hands on the sick and the sick would recover (Mark 16:18). The sick shall be anointed with oil in the Name of Jesus Christ by ordained ministers for the Lord to fulfill His promises (John 14:13; Psalm 103:14; Luke 9:13;1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14-16).

We believe that divine healing is obtained through faith. If, on occasion, a brother needs to submit himself to the care and ministration of medical science, he should not be criticized by his fellow church members, who must weigh the matter and consider themselves lest they be condemned by what they themselves approve (Romans 14:22). We recommend that all members and ministers of our Church abstain from improper criticisms of medical science, whose advancements cannot be denied and originate in the ability that God has given men to discover the secrets of the functioning of the human organism. We also advise against opposing government campaigns for hygiene, vaccination, and cleanliness; instead, we advise that they cooperate in these campaigns decidedly wherever possible

THE RETURN OF CHRIST

Jesus will return to earth. Jesus’s is return to earth in person is a doctrine clearly set forth in scripture. Jesus taught it. The Apostles preached it, and the saints accepted it (Matthew 24:1; Acts 1:11, 3:19-21; 1 Corinthians 1:7-8, 11:26; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17; Titus 2:13-14).

We believe that the time draweth near for the coming of the Lord to make a change in the present order of things, and at that time all the righteous dead shall rise

TRANSLATION OF THE SAINTS

from the graves, and "we that are alive" and living righteous before God shall be translated or "caught up to meet the Lord in the air" (Matthew 24:36 ; Luke 17:20 and 37; 1 Corinthians 15:51 and 54; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13 and 17).

The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the Lord, is imminent and is the blessed hope of the church (1 Thess. 4:16; Ro. 6:23; Titus 2:13; ).

THE MILLENNIAL REIGN OF JESUS

Moreover we believe that the distress upon the world is the "beginning of sorrows" and will become more intense until there "shall he a time of trouble such as there never was since there was a nation even to that time,' (Matthew 24:3-8; Daniel 12:1), and that period of tribulation will be followed by the dawn of a better day on earth, and that for one thousand years there shall be "peace on earth, good will toward men" (Revelation 20:1-5; Isaiah 65:17-25; Matthew 5:5; Daniel 7:27; Micah 4:1-2; Habbakuk 2:14).

FINAL JUDGEMENT

When the thousand years are finished there shall be a resurrection of the dead, who shall be summoned before the Great White Throne for their final judgement, all those whose names are not found written in the Book of Life shall be cast into the Lake of Fire, burning with brimstone, which God hath prepared for the devil and his angels. Satan being cast in first (Revelation 20:7-15; Matthew 24:41-46; Revelation 21:8).

THE NEW HEAVENS AND NEW EARTH

We, as promised in the Scriptures, look for a new heavens and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:l).
